Below is our weather during the weeks of October 19 & 25, 2010
Temperature-wise, we started out the month with daytime highs in the 80's and ended the month with nighttime lows in the 40's. First week in November took us into the 30's and we got a taste of what Winter in Mentone will be like. Leaf-wise (e.g., the coloring of the leaves that everyone comes here for in October), we went from no color the first week to some color the 3rd week to great color the last week.
We took a bunch of photos during October, first at ColorFest, then wandering around the area, then looking for nice tree-coloring photo-ops, and finally during the MAAC Artists' Gallery and Home Tour. I've included some of our photos below, with captions on those that need captions.
First below are photos from Colorfest, taken by Joyce. Since she's an artist, we'll see closeup photos of people, leaves, etc., but no shots of the 25-30 booths that were set up on the brow. It was an impressive collection of a variety of art forms from local area artisans and artists.

MAAC Artists' Gallery and Home Tour on Oct 30-31 started at the grand old Mentone Springs Hotel

Latest addition - an electric fireplace that really heats up the living room

The large Holly tree beside the house really sprouted some berries
The big Pine behind the Holly was the Blackburn's Christmas tree about sixty years ago. Anyone need any Pine cones?
