MAY @ Artist Retreat
2010: We left Artist Retreat on 5 May, but can still report on what's happening. We visited both the Spring Fling and the Art at the Barn shows on May 1-2, saw many neat items, and ate some great food.

2011: We're missing May in Mentone! - something happening almost every weekend and we're not there to enjoy it :( Hoping to return in June.
May @ Artist Retreat- Start May with a visit to the Spring Fling at Mentone Springs Hotel and the Annual Art at the Barn at Sweet Seasons Farm, both on the first weekend in May. Then, in mid-month, there's the Annual Rhododendron Festival, with all of it's associated events and parties, handcrafted arts and crafts and plenty of delicious food for all. And, don't forget the annual US 11 ANTIQUE ALLEY & YARD SALE, happening on the weekend following Mother's Day. Click the name above or the photo below for details and more photos.
These Rhododendron had just started to bloom at the Artist Retreat when we left on May 5th. Probably many more there now (5/13/2010).
The biggie in May in Mentone is the Annual Rhododendron Festival, which falls on the third weekend in May.
